About the Conference
The Repower World Summit is an event dedicated to discussing and promoting ways to decarbonise centralised coal-based systems by replacing them with low-emission generation sources at their existing sites.
The global trend of ‘repowering’ coal to clean energy, using biogas, biomass, geothermal and nuclear technologies, is driven primarily by clear technical, economic and social arguments for maintaining energy activities in urban areas that have historically depended on energy systems for their development and social well-being.
The two-day event will serve as a platform for the exchange of experiences in activities related to the decarbonisation of coal-based energy systems, including power plants, combined heat and power plants and heating plants. The first day of the conference will feature speakers from government and local authorities.
